first build

ok i have about $1500-1800 for a computer i really dont know much about computers but i will be using it for gaming not very heavy gaming also how hard is it to build a computer.

well im assuming if your willing to spend 1500-1800, this is canadian currency, evens till if your building your own pc for that much money you can have an all around aweosme gaiming systema and overall good systemf ro everything, alright chances are with that kind fo money, you my aswell get a vista capible board, what all do you want?
floppy?
1 or 2 dvd roms? lightscribe? (burns colourless images on to disc)
size of HD?

ill look for some good stuff for now jsut answer those questions

i know i want a intel core 2 duo i dont know which version i dont know how many dvd roms i will need what do you think i might as well ad a floppy drive.

if apple i cant help you :S
if windows AMD or Pentium
i prefer AMD but people could argue forever about waht best

the intel will be an awesome build though

HD- stick to brand like seagate, maxtor, Western Digital, Samsung, and Hitachi (if i missed good oens im sorry)
i would stick to the 7200rpm either 8mb or 16mb cache, my aswell get sata 2 its faster and more reliable
Ram- 2GB DDR-2 533FSB (PC4200
Processor- INTEL CORE 2 DUO E6700 2.66GHZ DUAL CORE 2.66GHZ PER CORE, not to sure what the speed would be but its not
5.32ghz, lol alot fo people just multimply the 2.66 by 2
Video card - 512MB ASUS nVIDIA Ge-Force 7600GS DVI/TV-OUT HDTV PCI EXPRESS VIDEO CARD (its an amazing video card but of course theres already better, and you could go sli if you wanted
Power supply- im not sure how much power yu need but this is a good one 680 WATT Power Supply

not too hard, just dont force anything, take it slow, read instructions

ok last post, it isnt 2 difficult its quite easy itys basically
buy case
mount mobo
put in power supply
hook all your stuff to the mobo, (everythging goes on the mobo, but drives)
anyways everything is easy but sometimes the bios can be annoying
lol but i gotta work on my shitty Tempo
