First Computer Build Need Advice

This is my first build and im looking to stay under 1000 dollars. It would be an all-purpose computer that can run editing programs smoothly and play games smoothly (games don't have to run on highest setting) for a few years to come without having to do any major part updates. As my username implies i know little about computer parts. But here is a list that i came up with for a computer. Please input any suggestions ideas, the help is much appreciated.

CPU: AMD FX-4100 3.6Hz Quad-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master GeminII S524 77.7 CFM Sleeve Bearing

Motherboard: MSI 970A-G46 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

Memory: A-Data Gaming Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Storage: Samsung 840 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk

Video Card: Diamond Radeon HD 6670 2GB Video Card

Case: Apex PCV-588 ATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply: Corsair Professional Gold 750W 80 PLUS gold certified ATX12V/EPS12V power supply

Optical Drive: Asus BC-12B1ST/BLK/B/AS Blu-ray reader, DVD/CD writer

That's a lot less then a $1000, and won't run games smoothly. How much are you sure you want to spend?

I do not want to go past 1000 dollars, keep in mind i have a monitor already.

Not good, especially for the price. It really sounds like you don't want to spend $1000.

$750, not as good as $1000 build at all, but it will play all games on medium, most on high. I have a $1000 compact if that's what you want.

@OP, your build has a very weak graphics card. Seriously, the 7950 will destroy the 6670. They're in two completely different leagues.
