This is my first computer i will be building. The purpose is for SC2, Diablo 3 and the Skyrim. From the research i've done it will support these games with ease and then some. Though i'm not 100% so im asking for any advice. I really don't want to spend more than $1000 but i might depending oh what it may be.

My biggest concern is the MB and if its the right one and if it will fit in the case i choose. I think it will but i'm asking for someone else to double check. Am i forgetting a major component? Hopefully not.

The file attached should show a screen shot. Thats everything the computer needs plus ill be getting the

Intel Core i7-2600 Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I72600

I really appreciate any help or advice. Thanks. :)

i can't tell what's on that pic, a little on the small size, but i can tell there are some probs with the list, i will look and get something together for you though, and where, country, do you live so we know what sites to look at. i can tell you used newegg, but just want to make sure.

what all do you plan to do with this build, there are very few things that benefit from the i7, that psu is known as roadkill not rosewill if you get what i'm saying, a sound card is a waste, that ram is good but unless doing something that will benefit from the i7 you won't benefit from 12gb's of ram, the case is decent, but isn't the best brand, that hdd is fine but not much faster than what i linked and for the price addition not worth it, the gpu i linked is better, and lastly you have to have a copy of windows so you can use it, btw i noticed you're on a mac, and you can't put mac on another computer without a certain mobo, or doing something that is against the rules to discuss on this forum.

What if i do this from some of your suggestions.

Case + windows as you suggested http://www.newegg.com/Product/Combo...na&AID=10521304&PID=4169961&SID=1w5n1ehuvehg2

HDD you suggested - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...-na&AID=10521304&PID=4169961&SID=qku8lw8ty4jf

GPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...na&AID=10521304&PID=4169961&SID=15vbrtk813n5d

Power supply + Memory combo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Combo...na&AID=10521304&PID=4169961&SID=1t7geid2u5swx

Original MB i suggested works well?? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...-na&AID=10521304&PID=4169961&SID=p3j0bd82nuuk

INtel Core I5 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Combo...-na&AID=10521304&PID=4169961&SID=igknmjcew7q2

I've been out of the loop with the processor so i'm basically clueless on that part. I've been on a mac last four years cause my last PC crashed after 7 years of abuse and i got rid of it.

Why not a sound card? I hear it helps improve everything sound related? If you thinkn its a waste ill take your advice.

Does this look good? Am i missing anything?

Thanks for your help.

Sorry what i plan to do with this build is play those games above i mentioned and futrue games of course. I just want no problems running any game thats out right now and hopefully future ones.

I don't want the build to barely run the games, i want it to run it like it could run all three at once so i know i wont ever have a LAG or slow problem.

the mobo i linked rebates to the price of the other, and even if you don't get the rebate that mobo is way better brand and just better for 15 bucks, also that processor is a great overclocker if you want to do that, can grab a coolermaster 212 for 28 and get her to 4+ghz

for the sound card, unless you use 100 buck speakers you won't notice anything at all, and on one that cheap you prob wouldn't anyways.

and this will max out bf3 almost possitively, skyrim i haven't seen anything for semi reliable requirements, and the others too, but the 560ti is pretty beast, should be fine for the next 2 years with high to medium settings, prob even longer, and then all you'll need is a new gpu as the cpu and psu should last a good 5+ (at least) years before they need to be replaced, so i'd say save like 10-15 a month if possible from now on and you'll be fine prob for any future upgrades, maybe 20 so you'll have some insurance for anything unexpected.

Thanks for your help jonny. I'm look at some things for awhile and maybe post later. Thanks again ill let ya know if i have other questions. :)

oh yeah, but i just want to say you can't tell how sick that case is from the pics, i thought it was sick until earlier today someone posted their finished one and when you see the real ones, so much cooler than than one, idk why but i can't find it right now, i'd say google it and go to the images.

and the first thread i click on after posting this

http://www.computerforum.com/200946-finished-build.html

Most if not all decent motherboards come with a decent sound card. Ditch the sound card unless you plan on running a pretty beast speaker setup.

I can't afford the best speakers right now but i hope too some time. I love my music and always want the best quality.

well that's more of a luxury and the built in one if still amazing. i'd save up for thoe speakers and a good card if you want to get one.

Heat sink fans over the processor.

I was looking at the how to build a computer thread at the top of the page and was wondering if my setup comes with one but does not say? Is it included with the MB?

are you asking if the cpu has a heatsing and fan without buying an aftermarket one, yes, the cpu comes with its own coolers from the factory.

With that setup you suggest jonny are their any other wires that you need to also get to connect everything together? Or is it normal that everything you need always comes in the box.

everything you need will be in there, other than a simple philips head screw driver, but like the gpu comes with its dvi or hdmi cord, mobo has its sata cords for your drives, everything will be in there.
