hey guys i want to buy myself a cool gaming pc for Bf3 and such things..
maybe i want to run some server too...
i really want Intel and Nvidia because i like them

my budget is maximum $1700-1800 dollars
please can some1 help me out to find a good computer and i already have a 24" TFT screen:)

PS srry for bad english but i am from holland;)

oh guys if you want to know my idea it was something like this:

850watt psu.

660ti (3gb) graphic card.

16gb RAM (maybe 8 is enough too).

3770k ivybridge.

Zalman z11 plus.

scythe ninja 3 rev. b

Kinda like that;)
oh and the 660ti isnt available yet but i need to save up for it and ill wait for it:)

Here are my thoughts...

Firstly, an 850W for a 660 Ti is going to be overkill, you can get away with a quality 650W PSU for that card such as the Corsair TX 650, that would be a good power supply to get.

16GB of RAM for gaming is overkill, as is the 3770K. Get 8GB and an i5 3570K instead, and then get the Corsair Carbide 300R case.

Maybe the money you save on the CPU and the RAM you an put into a 670 or 680? A 670 should still be OK on the TX 650 power supply, but a 680 would need a decent 750W unit such as the Corsair TX 750 most probably.

I'd also get an SSD. SanDisk Extreme 120GB is a great one (fast!), and the Crucial M4 ad Corsair Force 3 are also great choice. Got an M4 myself and love it. :)

ok now my build

oh yea, stupid me... forgot to say that i want to be able for upgrades in the far future... so i looked to your advice and found this:

i5 3570k
8gb gskill 1600mhz 2x4gb
club3d 850watt psu(sli)
gtx670(maybe sli in future)
gygabyte ga-z77x-UD3H
adata ssd 120gb (extra seagate 750gb in future)
scythe mugen 3 rev. b
zalman z11plus(sorry but i really like that:P)
and a cheap dvd-rw drive

well... what do you think?

don't get club3d. Get a antec, corsair, NZXT, OCZ, PC power and cooling, Seasonic, Silverstone, or XFX on the power supple.

Looks good, just the SSD is a bit iffy. Look for a Corsair Force3, Crucial M4 or the new SanDisk Extremes. Also as Vista said: Get the Corsair Carbide 300R as a case, unless your budget allows try to go for the 400R or 500R. A bit bigger and better Cable management but the 300R is a really good case anyway.

Also as a dutchie myself, I recommend getting the parts from Azerty.nl Cheaper than most sites and very good customer service!

the 570 is far weaker than the 670. a 660ti should be about the same as the 570.

Thermaltake is no better than club3d. The good brands that will last are Antec, Corsair, NZXT, OCZ, PC power and cooling, Seasonic, Silverstone, and XFX.
