first gaming desktop build need help PLEASE

that's what i wanted to say, dang you benny, you keep on beating me to it lately, but yeah, the am3+ will work just as good and they are barely more, but has to be a 900 series chipset i think for it to be compatible with bulldozer, which would be a great upgrade in a year when you want a little more

all of the am3+ mobos under 90 which ive looked at (which is nearly all mobos under 90 on scan) ar not corssfire compat which i may give consideration to in the future :/ so its a compromise of cpu for gpu or other way round ?:O

well sli and xfire may be nicer for budget, but that's there only true advantage, a cheaper upgrade and not much more power in comparison to a new gpu.

i meant the the 900 series chipsets such as the 990fx, but idk if those will support bulldozer, they may update the bios to support it, but idk, this is more of a question for the motherboards section, but these are mobo's on newegg that you can search on your fav site or something that i know will support bulldozer, but the cheapest ir 95 usd so it might be a little more than you wanted, but these also take more ram and higher speed ram

i dont kno if i can shuffle my parts sumwher to twist my budget :/ its at the extreme maximum of 580£ already and thats including OS delivery and scansure :/

how the hell is a 6870 not going to play smoothly, it's a damn good card for a budget under 1k, and will still play anything out today if you don't put it on crazy high res and freakin full shading, why would this not be smooth, do you know anything about this stuff or are you an idiot that think the only thing worth it is the top of the line system that'll cost ~5k to build.
