Going for a low budget Gaming/anything else desktop. Does this look like it would last awhile? I'm not looking to be up to date with everything, just want something that will run mostly anything. Btw, why does everyone choose Intel over AMD?

Will this all run together pretty well? Feel free to add something if you think its better, and doesn't cost much more.

I is very difficult not to side with Intel right now. With release of the new processors today they seem(arguably are) far more superior than AMD. You may want to wait until retail stores have these new CPUs in stock.

That motherboard is overkill for a budget gaming system. I recommend a P35 chipset MB from Gigabyte, MSI, or EVGA. Asus motherboards are picky about memory.
The 8400 series GPUs are obsolete. Go for a ATI card if you want to save a little money.
The ram is fine. 2gigs will do for you.
The HDD is fine, if 160gbs will suffice for you.
I do not know much about Apevia for your PSU and case selections.

There is no doubt that Intel is beating AMD, but with a low budget it is kinda hard to afford a good intel system..

No he suggested a 8400GS which is much lower than a 8500GT. If he can afford a 8600GT of course go with that, but if not the card I posted is ideal for his budget.
