first time and need help!

I am going to attempt to build a computer and i have one question. I will be putting in this computer a Radeon xfx HD-6770 video card is this card plug and play or will i need to install drivers on the hard drive before I am able to use it? I will be installing windows 7 professional. Any help will be great.
 
Almost all cards require drivers in order to work fully, although you do not need to install the drivers first, install the card and it will use generic driver, then install the proper up to date driver from the website, Don`t use the disc that comes with card the drivers on the disc will most likely be old out of date drivers.
