is the power cable for the gpu plugged in? And the 8-pin for the cpu?

If so, re-seat your RAM and try again.

GPU? I've got two sets of power cords going into my motherboard - one is the 20+4 pin and the other is the 4+4 by the CPU. Is there supposed to be another?

I'll give the RAM thing a shot...
 
Ok, this is pretty embarrassing...I didn't realize that the graphics card has it's own power connection and in order for it to work, you actually have to PLUG IT IN! Hey, it's my first build, so cut me some slack. If that turns out to be the only thing I did wrong, I'll be pretty happy!

Now for the software...
