First time build for gamer pc

I am currently trying to do my first computer build and would like to know if everything is compatible and a good choice. Here's my list

Cooler Master HAF 922 Case
Corsair TX750W PSU
ASUS M4A79 Mobo
AMD Phenom II x4 940 BE (I'll use the included fan and OC later with new fan)
OCZ Reaper DDR2-800 PC6400
ATI Radeon 4850 or 4870 (Not sure on which brand, any suggestions?)
Seagate Barricuda 500GB
Windows 7 RC and Windows Vista Ultimate (both in 64bit)
I Have a Lite-on and Samsung DVD burner already

Any other suggestions are welcome since i want to start my build in a few days

get something higher than 500gb, like this, or this
 
The only reason why i never went with ddr3 is because its more money then ddr2 and from what i have read their isn't much performance increases. If i'd get a board i'd want an asus, i've always had them and i am a big fan. I'll get the ASUS M4A79T as it is the same price on direct canada since i live in Nova Scotia. Thanks for the input though, i'll keep that in mind. Would you recommend the 940 or 955BE?

Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB 7200RPM 32M Drive Oem 5YR Mfg Warranty

Is this a better setup? Please comment, i found a good deal on most of this stuff and i want to order asap. Thanks for the tips so far helped a lot, and will make upgrades in the future easier.
