So this is my first time doing building a computer so bare with me.. I've already gotten all of the parts picked out, just need to make sure they will all work together. So first things first:

Case: LIAN LI PC-7FN USB 3.0 Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Motherboard: ASRock Z68 PRO3-M LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2000 BX80623I52500

Cooling: Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler

RAM: G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C9D-8GAB

Video: ZOTAC ZT-50303-10M GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

SSD: Corsair Force Series GT CSSD-F60GBGT-BK 2.5" 60GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

HHD: Western Digital AV-GP WD5000AUDX 500GB IntelliPower 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Optical Drive: SAMSUNG 22X DVD Burner 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 22X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 24X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM SATA Model SH-222BB/BEBE - OEM

PSU: BFG Tech BFGR550WGSPSU (already own)

Basically will all of these things make a working computer. If so, how good of a computer will I have?

A few more things, once I have everything together and installed, what do I do? I know I'll have to purchase a copy of Windows 7 and I want to use the SSD as my boot drive and use the HDD as storage. I know my chipset allows SSD caching, so how do I set all of that up. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I would not run this system with a BFG power supply.

Besides that, why not get the 2500k and overclock it? You chose a very good cpu cooler that could get the chip around 4.5ghz.

For the ssd, there's a thread in the hard drive section that explains how to properly set up a ssd. Its at the top.

Whats wrong with a BFG? And if BFD is wrong what brand should I go for, and what wattage? Also, I don't plan on overclocking or messing around with that too much.

I personally wouldn't get a Zotac 560 Ti, go for an EVGA, MSI or ASUS one, any of the below will do.

If you can, try to get a 2GB card (I know the ones I linked to were 1GB, but 2GB models of the above are available) and as the 560 Ti 448 Cores isn't much more, I'd recommend getting one of those. See http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127615 - this one's 10 bucks more than the 560 Ti 2GB.

As for the PSU, get a Corsair CX 650 or a TX 650 - here's the TX 650 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020 Corsair is a great brand, BFG are not so great and I believe they are no longer a company. For this system 600-700W would be good, anything above 700W is likely going to be overkill, but the amperage to the +12V rail is more important than the wattage. The CX 650 and the TX 650 would both power your system fine.

Its not 80+ certified and probably does not output 550w continuously, and the efficiency is probably also bad. (Not listed on the newegg link I found.)

550w is plenty for this computer, just need it from a reliable brand. Here are some good examples:

And if I don't plan on doing any overclocking should I need a cooling unit, or should i go ahead and get one instead?

Its not needed if you don't want to overclock, especially if you're not getting the k-version of the 2500. (The overclocking version)
