Hey, I was wondering what all I need to build a PC for my son. It's his birthday soon. I'm very computer illiterate and the only reason I found this website was from Google!
Anyways, I'm looking to build a gaming PC that is around $800-1000 that can run RIft,WoW,Brink (those are the games he plays) flawlessly. If you could maybe link the parts from a trusted website that I can buy from. Also, will they put all the parts together if I buy them all from the same company? Thanks for your help, I don't even know where I would even begin to look stuff up. Very complicated if you ask me.

Newegg will not assemble. However, it is not hard to assemble a computer. Refer to the link below with pics.

I would suggest that you get a nvidia GPU for gaming. A GTX460 or GTX540ti. they seem to perform circles around AMD.
Also, look into a AMD 955 CPU. quad cores for ony 30 more than the 555. cant beat that.

You may want to wait for bulldozer to come out next month before you build though. OR if you dont want to wait, get a AM3+ motherboard, and stick a cheap sempron in it until Bulldozer, and upgrade then.

I would like to keep everything Nvidia/Intel. So would you still have a suggestion on a build?
Thanks for that link to all the stuff I need though. Something like that again would be very helpful for me lol. I'd like to just keep it all Intel/Nvidia, he told me *if you were to buy me a PC for my bday, I'd like it all Nvidia/Intel"* =)

I was just told mwave.com builds the computer for $80. I think I'll go that route into buying whatever you put on newegg and go over there and try and find it.
