first time building a computer

I'm planning on building a computer for the first time, I have some questions, naturally :D

K So here are the parts:

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811144041
Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817339025
Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115036
Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186146
CPU Fan: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186134
Video Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130424
Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148262
Hard Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148395
CD/DVD Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827118030

First off, are all these parts compatible with each other?
Second, Am I missing anything?
Third, Any overall suggestions?

I'm trying to keep it under $750 (excluding monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc)

Thanks!

Yer it does look good but the case doesnt. What are you going to be using it for? Gaming? internet? work?

That seems pretty good, do I still need a cpu fan or a heatsink with these parts? Also, I'm going to be using this computer for gaming, will these parts be better for gaming too?

The CPU comes with a heatsink and fan so one is not required. If you are going to overclock then you should get one. There really is no need to overclock that system it will do anything you can think of.

cool thanks, few more things though, the power supply i selected was 600 watts, and the one you chose is 500 watts, what better about yours?
and, in the review for the processor, people say the fan isn't great so isnt it better to get a cpu fan?

Your power supply you picked is any off brand which are crappy. The one I picked is top of the line and the best you can get. Watts is not what matters when it comes to power supplies. Amps on the plus +12V rail is the big concern that and the quality of it.

A CPU fan is not needed the one that comes with it will to fine until you can get another one but if you do won't to spring for one then get the Dark Knight or the V8.

I said the same thing about that HEC brand and bomberboy said it was good quality.

What are you sure because the 3 I have used where crap 2 blew when I started the computer. The other went out after 2 weeks. Maybe the ones I got where bad I don't know. Where have to wait to see what he says but I'm sure he will agree with me on the PC Power and Cooling.

I see, so other than these parts, do I need to get anything else (excluding monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc)?

Do you have an OS if not then you can get the Windows 7RC it's free until July I think after that it will shout your computer down ever 2 hours. Other then that it looks like your good to go.

yeah im already planning on putting windows 7 on there, btw i changed a few thing:

memory:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231189
hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136320

and do i need a heat sink?

Good changes if you are going to overclock it then yes you do. If you just won't one for the heck of it just so you will have super nice temps then go ahead its always recommended. You don't need one right now you can't pick it up later and install it the stock one works fine until you get ready to overclock.
