First time building my own PC

I've had the same dell computer for over 7 years and have decided to finally get a new one. This is also the first time I'm building one myself.

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

Suggestions? Changes?
 
So if I decided to get i7 2600 or 2600K, what would I need to change to keep everything compatible and would it be better?

I'm using it for gaming btw.
