I am building a PC for the first time and I would like some experts input on what to purchase. I am making a gaming PC, so I need some pretty good stuff. I tried keeping it under a grand, but that was hard for me lol. Here is a list of what I am buying + links:

this is a great case. also ur ram is ehhh.... geil is okish but kingstonhyperx is the best for the price imo. in terms of quality second only to corsair

that is bollocks. the 5770 is a good 30% percent faster than the 4850 (i have owned both) and the 5770 is just above the 4870 now because of the newer drivers.

You can carefully switch the power supply for a Corsair 400CX or a 450VX if you like the long life design. The 650 is sucking up too much cash, and this system will only draw around 280W absolute worst case.

The motherboard cuts way too many corners. It doesn't have 4 memory slots, which kills a lot of your upgrade potential, and its microATX, which is going to look kind of silly in that case. Go ahead and get a regular size ATX board from Gigabyte or MSI. The difference should be concerning what you saved on the power supply.

Not agree with getting 400W PSU. Although the current system only take 280W, considering PSU with 80% efficiency, with overclocking and allow potential upgrade in future. I do recommend 500W PSU instead.
