First Time New Build Recommendation

I had been thinking of buying a new pc from Dell, but would like to build one for myself instead after browsing this forum.
I am getting a Samsung SM223BW 21.6" TFT Monitor, so i do not need a monitor in the build.
I have £900 for the build and you will need to use http://www.ebuyer.com/ as i live in the U.K.

I am looking for a good stable gaming pc that will play most games, i hopefully have enough funds for this.
Can someone suggest a good build for this, as there is so many motherboards, proccessors, etc, to choose from, i don't know where to start !

I got a build from Scout in a email telling me about a post in this thread, but can't find it here ?

Dos this look like a good build and are all componets compatible, it is based around Scout's build ?

I have already ordered; a Monitor, Keyboard & Mouse, plus Speakers, and i am going to get Microsoft Office 2007 "Student And Teacher Edition" from Ebay.

That's almost the same build I posted but I saw other people post them so I deleted it. :)

That build leaves you a little room for changes with your budget. Things like your graphics card, hard drive and case you have to pick yourself.

Maybe a little bigger PSU:)

I would not go any lower than a 9800 GTX+ these days:)

I cannot find any sizes for the XFX Graphics card in the list but with the towers depth being 430 mm (16.9"), i think the card won't be too long ?

I assume there is no need for a floppy drive anymore, so haven't bothered getting one.

Dos the part list look alright for compatability and i haven't missed anything ?

Looks good, although I would change the E8500 to an E8400 as the performance difference is not worth the price. The video card should fit just fine, btw. :)
