I finally assembled the desktop and I have the following MOB.
I am trying to start the computer by setting up BIOS.
Gigabyte MA790x- UD4P

I first tried to set up my SATA WD 500GB drive and it kept asking for RAID and stuff. I have no idea what number I should set this RAID at. I set it at 0 and it says I need two drives to do this.
Can somebody help?

P.S WD 500gb is my only SATA drive

RAID is only for 2 or more HDD's, are there any partitions on you drive? If so you may have to delete them.
RAID 0 is for speed, RAID 1 is for reliability, im not sure about the rest.
Is your drive formatted?

Oh...that's why. No the drive is brand new. I first have to load OS to format the drive, don't I?

How can I go back to reset a BIOS setting? Since I made SATA enabled under Integrated Periperals, the computer just skips the screen to RAID configuration(ctrl+F). I don't even have a chance to press 'del' to get into the BIOS setting.

Just go back into the BIOS and "Load Optimized Defaults".

Press F10 to Save and Exit. (or whichever yours says)

When the computer starts up, I kept pressing 'del' to get into the bios setting but it just skips to RAID configuration....

I wonder if I can reset it to the factory default manually on the motherboard

Yes you can. Just remove the battery for about 5 minutes.
