well, i THINK i hooked everything up right, im only missing the Proc (which the UPS guy should be dropping off within an hour), and after that, turn it on and hope it works...

but i mean right now, i got everything else in, it turns on, ALL fans work + light up, GPU runs and fan is going, but idk wut else to test if anything before i get the proc.


and for the sensors, it says to just tape on the sensors onto HDD and CPU? what kinda tape? lol...

EDIT :: also, for my CDROM, it opens up and everything, but idk if its gonna read....it only has the Power connected to it, and the smaller one hooked into the MOBO, isnt there another cord that im missing? nothing was in box, or is it with my MOBO pieces? (and i dont see it)

if everything turns on then its a good sign everything is hooked up right.

Im assuming you have a fan controller or temp sensor correct? You can tape the sensor onto the hard drive, however DO NOT put the CPU sensor in between the CPU and heatsink, because it will cause your temps to skyrocket. If you really want to use the sensors, you should put it close to the CPU, such as between some fins of the heatsink. Those sensors though are pretty far off from the actual temps, and arent that good for determining the temps of components.

As for the CDROM, the audio cable I think you're referring to really doesnt exist on current setups. There should be a power and IDE (or SATA) cable that connects your CDROM to the motherboard.
 
i didnt get any cables with the cdrom drive, but i do have some left over things form MOBO...or am i missing a pieice?

and yea, its a temp sensor, and the rear fan i can adjust, but for sum reason the front one doesnt, must be missing sumtin... (oh and what kinda tape? it has 1 censor for HDD and one for the CPU)

but yea, just got proc, so am i missing sumtin for CDROM? kinda need it...lol
 
Unless you buy a retail CDROM drive, they dont usually come with one, but thats why the motherboards come with the cables you need.

I would use electrical tape, but you may not need tape for the CPU sensor (if you attach it in between some fins).
 
alright, ill do the tape later because my dad knows where that tape is...

i hooked my proc up, and heatsink...im proud so far...and yea, i looked into my MOBO pieces and found it, fits in and everything

now ill bbs, gonna hook it up to monitor, and turn everything on and set it up...

hope i dont blow it up (first comp ive made....)
 
ok, only proplem now is that it says "H/W Monitor Status Abnormal"

then i go to check the Voltage,and says the 12V is running at 9+ ????? and its in Red...

all the other temps r good, the only prob im getting is this and idk what to do...thx


and after fixing this, wuts next? lol

Should i just hit continue and just run the comp, or ? i mean i dont want it to blow up, its the only error i got and i dont see anyway of fixing it..

i got it all to work now, but i tried downloading that virus protection, tried getting Steam (for cs), and either they come up corrupted, or just dont responde, for everything i try to DL...

what now?
