Hi there, excuse any Punctuation problems, typing this on my phone. I have a Dell studio 540 computer. I want to update my chipset graphics to a geforce gtx460 1gb. I know I will need a 450 watt power supply with 2 6pin connectors. Do I need to know anything else? Total noob when it comes to hardware. Thanks.

If the motherboard has a PCI-e slot your good to go. And ofcourse if the card fits in the case, which it should. May be a tight squeeze but should be possible

Corsair or Seasonic 500W or greater PSU and pop in the gpu, make sure you turn off the onboard video and you will be good to go.

The Corsair CX 500 and CX 600 are both good units. :) Usually you don't need to bother disabling onboard video on the BIOS, when you insert a graphics card it should do it for you. You do need to uninstall the old graphics drivers before you install the drivers for your new card though.
