Ok cool. Thanks. And how do you set up a computer for wireless? What else do you have to buy?

And is it already set up for wired internet?

I knew i'd have to buy a wireless router but I wasn't sure what to buy for the actual computer. Thanks so much everyone. If anyone else has input.. Feel free, I guarentee you know more than I do. Haha.

My m8s and i go 2 a friends house on the weekends where we have 4 computers in LAN. They used to b connected through a wireless router and even tho they all got a strong signal, there was still a lot of lag in games. We change to the cables, using the same router and now there is no lag. If u want 2 play games and your router is far away, it might b worth gettin the SDS out n drillin a hole or two and feed a cable to your room. Plus all sorts of other electronic equipment can also interfere with the signal. lol I used to have this problem where by i lost all signal wen i used the micowave, at least 1 knew wen my food was ready, as the computer pops up a message wen the microwave stopped tellin me a signal is found.

Haha. That's funny. But my computer won't be too far from the router. And I'm not going to be doing anygames On it. Just designing with adobe cs3 stuff. And I just want a computer that works fast. Because the one I have no can just barely handle the adobe programs. I think the computer I have now is like 7 years old.

Yes XP will work with over 3GB of RAM...BUT all 32bit systems will only report up to 4GB and can only use 3GB.

Vista Home Basic 64bit is limited to 8GB RAM
Vista Home Premium 64 bit is limited to 16GB RAM
Vista 64 bit Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate will let you go up to 128GB RAM

Need more::::: Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition SP2 64bit will allow up to 2TB of RAM.

My buddy has xp on his computer. And he has 8 gigs of ram. But I don't have to worry about that. I like vista a lot better than xp.

sorry did not mean the computer would not work with more than 3GB, just meant that it would not register over somert like 3.2GB with windows xp (32 bit). I tried it once with 3GB 800mhz ram and it still only registered 2GB in windows, i had to put it down to 667MHz b4 3GB worked, dunno y.
