I have 3 mobo's that are faulty do you guys suggest I get them fixed?
Would any computer place fix these?
I am just better buying new or used?

It all depends what's wrong. If it had an obviously bad capacitor or something, they can be replaced. Otherwise, it's probably not worth your time.

Do you know what's faulty on them? some things you can replace but it's usually pretty hard to remove and resolder caps/resisters and what-not on. I'd say your best bet would be to buy a new board.

ON one the vga female type is defective but been told when onboard dies the mobo usually did 2.
On second I get errors loading windows.
On third I can't get past the red compaq logo.

Errors loading windows isn't normally a mobo problem. I'd check the RAM and HDD first.
Not getting past the compaq logo could be anything, if you hit escape you should see the stuff going on in the background, see if you can see any errors there before you try anything.

I am getting disk I/0 errors and I/0 0000800 errors on the one I can't load windows.

Ill try pressing esc on the compaq mobo thanks

Nope, esc didn't work. The is a line in the left top corner just blinking.

And for the other mobo loading problems it's not the ram nor hdd.
Ive tried different sticks and placed the hdd's in other systems and they work perfectly.
Plus Ive ran memtest and no errors.

Apart from stuffed up capacitors, there is nothing you COULD do. I mean its not like you can stroll down to the local computer store and ask for a northbridge, because they don't sell those parts, and due to the diminishing cost of production no-one fixes motherboards anymore, most major companies will just strip faulty motherboards of its working components and just make a new one instead of trying to fix the old faulty one.
