Flash movies and fonts

ohh I'm so frustrated...worked 9 hours on it :(

I used the font "Continuum Medium" throughout a Flash movie. When I try to watch it on another computer with Continuum font not installed, no text shows up nor do buttons containing this text show up. Does this mean I have to change the font throughout? Is there an easier way to change all of the text from Continuum Medium to, say, Arial?

Also, is there a way to format the movie so that the text is instead a pic, making it independent of fonts on the other computer?

You could just convert the .swf file to a video file format, such as .avi.

but this movie's also got ActionScript settings and it's totally interactive and that would render it useless to its purpose. It's not exactly a movie...it's more of an information presentation. A web-friendly cool PowerPoint that the user goes through, in other words. That would be good, though, if it weren't interactive.

Well, then, yes. You will have to change the font throughout. Unless you make the text, images. Or, just copy across the font you want to use. Just make sure the font is in the same directory as the flash movie, and whenever it doesn't work - install the font. :)

wait...so if I just embed that font, it automatically works? The entire document uses the exact same font. Continuum Medium...also known as the Wii Font :P

sry for triple posting, but I just tested it on a compy nearby that doesn't have the font installed and it worked...it was at school that it didn't work. I guess my question is now, why?

Hmm, So you embedded the font, and tried it on another computer and it worked, but It didn't work when you took it to school and tried it with the embedded font? Correct?
