Hey there,
Im going to be buying an Asus EeePc 900HA. Along with my external DVD-Drive im hoping to install WoW among other pre-2003 pc games.

Could anyone please suggest some of their favourite pre - 2003 pc games that would run well on the 900HA (1.66Ghz Atom, 1GB RAM, etc)

Im thinking some Red Alert, CoD 1, NFS Underground 1 .. I'd love to hear some classic favourites, even as far back as late 90's!

Thanks guys!

Cant go past Battlefield 1942!

Edit: Actually I dont know if that would run on that computer, I just picked a pre-2003 game. Sorry if thats no help.

I only played for a few min, but Diablo II could be pretty sweet, and is gaurnteed to run!

Halo: Combat evolved is a sweet game For multiplayer check out wolfenstein enemy territory, free and its from i believe 2001, and i still find myself playing it. Just need to download the game+2.60 patch, then 2.60b patch, best free multplayer game imo.

Yeah both those games are awesome. Check them out!

What you'll realize once you try it is that due to the extremely small screen and resolution, you won't want to play any games at all on it. I tried playing AoE II, Midtown Madness 2, etc. on my 1000HA and while the games ran fine, the resolution is just too small for it to be enjoyable. The netbooks are really only good for basic web browsing, watching videos, etc.
