I copied some photos to my flash drive and they filled up the flash drive. Now when I try to access any files on the flash drive, I get a message saying that it needs to be formatted before use. If I format, I lose everything! How can I recover all of the files that are on the flash drive? Any help is greatly appreciated....

Did you do the safe removal before removing the drive?
You could try a chkdsk against the drive (chkdsk H: /r) where H is your drive letter.
Otherwise it's probably toast, do you really not have these backed up anywhere else?
Also, what flash drive is it? A lot of cheap chinese ones from eBay and similar are flashed for a different capacity than they contain (and corrupt all data over the small 1 or 2 GB capacity they actually have).
