I have 2, their in my signature, and they both have dead lines of pixels 1/3 and 2/3 down the montior, 2 tiny lines, on both in the same spots

did all of the older ones do this? cuz i know these are like...2 years old at the least

lots of monitors will have dead pixels, even possible with ones coming out today.

Manufacturers will have a tolerance for how many dead pizels are allowed (varies from manufacturer) which will let them decide if its shipped or destroyed.

My 20" dell monitor has a dead pixel on it, thankfully right at the bottom and not noticeable without testing.

lol dude this isnt 1 or 2 dead pixels, its a whole line across the monitor, 2 lines actually, but the point is they are different makes and in the same exact 2 places

I have never seen a CRT with a dead horizontal line like that. I have a 19" flatscreen CRT, and it doesn't do anything like that.

Inside the CRT, there are a bunch of tiny vertical wires, which focus the electrons onto the screen. I don't know why you would have a dead vertical line.

But having it on 2 different monitors in the same place and the same time, it sounds like an external problem. Is there any RF emitting device near? Try moving them elsewhere.

And shorten your signature, forum rule is 10 lines

ok, first off dude, next time, ask a little nicer about the signature

second, they arnt rite next to eachother, theres at least 3 inches between them, and nothing else around them
