i am working on a friends computer, a dell dimension E310 i have changed the hard drive and installed windows 7 on it, on boot up i get floopy diskette seek failure hit F-1 to continue or F-2 to enter setup. i hit F-1 and it boots normally then with no problems. the computer does not have a floopy drive installed and never has. i have checked in bios in drivers and it does not show a floopy there either, any solutions? thanks

Been along time since I fooled with a Dell. Try hitting F2 on boot up and go to the boot order and set the floppy to none or disable. Or try disabling the floppy port.

Also check the boot sequence in BIOS, the first boot-sequence has to be CDROM and not FLOPPY and the second boot sequence has to be HARDDISK.
