Floor or desk?

Errm...? The floor, it's a bit less visually obtrusive, even though It's easier to smash it with your foot
 
My one at home I keep on the floor since it's way too big for my desk xD

The one I built at school I keep on desk because I always am fiddling with it

I prefer it on my desk, but it won't fit so I am forced to have it on the floor with all the dust and crap getting in there :(
 
I also used to keep on the floor. I just have so much sheet on the table i fixed the problem. I posted picture of the computer room. The kids have been gone for years. i have my computer room. I built two desk kits at each end of the room. Bought the Formica and partial board and built it 11' long and 40" wide. running dual 24" Syncmasters, another computer with tower and 19", scanners, printer, laptop for credit cards, plus other hardware. put in a wood floor and love that. also have to good office chairs. i don't need the other chair. The people that visit do. i just slide across the floor at the table and get my sheet done as needed.

I envy you for having a large desk. I have my 2 monitors, keyboard, mouse, router and modem, and have no more room for anything else besides clutter. Even when it is cleaned up, I have near no room :(
 
Well i did prefer to have it sitting on the top of my desk with the side facing me because i could see inside the pc with its see through window :D,and it was easy to access the rear of the pc if i needed too....But its too big,Its now sitting under my desk! but still raised off the floor.
 
you get dust either way. i've done both floor and desk before and i still get the same amount of dust with both options.

probably depends more on your environment in terms of dustiness
 
and sitting on the floor near the vent. thats always an issue.
You will last longer on the table before a blowing out again.
I have two labs in the house. These smurfs have hair everywhere. then again i guess its my preference. easy access though it would give me more real estate. I also have another table on the other wall. HP110 Plus. this dam thing is all 50" long. Won't even talk about my wife's computer room. Its a Disaster. trust me.........
