Floppy Diskette Seek Error???

When I start up my computer, I get an error message that reads "Floppy diskette seek error, press F1 to continue or F2 to go to the setup menu".

I usually just press F1 and continue, and there's no problem, but the message is getting annoying every time I start it up. I'm running Windows XP and I don't even have a floppy diskette drive
Please help.
Thanks.

your computer sounds like it is trying to boot of the floppy drive. Under the bios, disable it from booting of the floppy drive, and have it boot of the DVD drive and then the hard drive.

to get into the bios hit "del" when it first boots up - it might not be "del" but whatever it is to get into the bios it will be on the bottom of the screen when it first is turned on.

If what Cohen suggested doesn't work, remove any removable media from your computer, such as a USB flash drive. In the past, I've received that error when having a flash drive inserted.

Just disable the floppy port in the bios. If you just remove it from the boot order you wil still get a seek error because the bios still checks for a floppy drive if its on the boot order or not, if the port is enabled.
