Floppy Drives

There shouldn't be a problem, they're pretty much the same. How is it gonna be connected, USB?

That's a good question. I assume (because I'm a ROOKIE) that the only thing I would likely use it for would be Bios updating. So what ever configuration is needed / recommened for that application, is what I would do. If it's more reliable to have an internal drive hooked directly (via IDE??) to the MOBO, then I that's what I would want to do. I just want to do what ever is most reliable in an emergency situation.

actually it's hooked up through a floppy cable, the external one should work but you can go wrong having an internal floppy drive :p. I didn't have one before but i had to get one from my old computer when i needed to flash my BIOS.

may i ask why you want to update the bios? i mean.. if it fails,. your mobo is screwed. ;)

I was under the impression that occasionally Bioses needed to be updated. But I am, as the screen name would imply, a rookie, and am still trying to sort alot of stuff out. So please, straighten my rookie a$$ out, please. Thanks. :)
