Floppy Drives

Are floppy drives supposed to make a real lound noise like "GGGREEEEEEE!!! TONK! TONK! TONK! BUZZZZZZZZZ!!! ERRRRRR! SHIIIIINKKKK! KIIIIIEEEE! BAM!" every time you use them? Cause mine does.

They do make some noise. I don't know about loud noises. How loud is it?

Abut as loud as a microwave, but it sond like hitting, clicking, and scraping.

If it's really loud then it might be busted, or on it's way. They do sound like clicking, but I don't know about scraping. And definately not "BAM".

I'd just buy a new one, they're only like $15 these days.

Usually floppy drives make noise when accessing floppies. If there's no read or write error, no need to worry... And no need to buy a new drive, because floppies will be history soon.
