Flying Fighter Game

Hey, i have been looking for a new plane fighting game for the pc -
i just beat the new ace combat for ps2 and i want a better overall game, i wasn't too impressed

i looked at blazing angles and heard that was no good, and i havent really been able to find anything else

i want it to be current and look graphically decent if possible

any and all suggestions will be appreciated

I can recommend a few space games, I don't really know of any current aircraft games. You might want to take a look at these:

Freelancer
FreeSpace
 
There is also Microsoft flight combat simulator series of games.. As the title suggests its a simulation game not an arcade game. :)
 
I've played both Lock On: Modern Air Combat (I think it's the sequel to IL2: Sturmovik) and Pacific Fighters, and they're both very fun games. Pacific Fighter is more arcade, LOMAC is more realism, both have very decent graphics, but I'd give the edge to LOMAC.
