i am trying to get the "Windows 2000/XP/Vista SMP client console version 5.91 beta" to work on the machine in my sig, but get the following errors.

when i run the install.bat i get the following error;

i have disabled all security software(inc windows firewall) and am running as admin. I am at a los as what to do next any help aprichated.
 
You need to run the install.bat files as an admin. Even though you maybe logged into an admin account, you must right click the file "run as an administrator" i don't know if fah will work properly if you do this now since it has already been ran. Hope this helps.
 
Yea sorry i missed that out i already set them to admin under compatibility first, i think the same thing? this thing is doing my head in, lol. Chears mate, any other ideas?

btw i origianaly got the non smp graphical version to work but i wanted to up the productivity, and make use of both cores on the cpu! i bit pointles otherwise!

yup im admin(the only account other than system) and psw protected!! thnx though
any other thaughts. this thing has mashed my brain i cant think of anything it could be. just tried it again to see if was there server, but no joy :(,

does anyone know what the IP of the server i would be connecting to is, so i can try to ping it?

a small victory, by running CMD as admin then running the .bat manualy from there seems to execute correctly.
i ran both in compability mode and run explorer as admin with no dice so cmd.exe as admin is a start here i think

Since you already ran teh fah.exe without properly running the install.bat file you might need to reinstall from scratch.
 
yea ill give that a go, have wait till tomoz now, have got work to get on with, will let you know the results when im online tomoz
