For the average user, me, if I go to a Notebook with 32 RAM from 8 will my computer run significantly faster & is it worth it?

I just saw a Notebook that has 32 Ram of memory that for me is 1uite expensive around $1400 new. I don't really use my computer for anything complex, just the internet, email, word, posting videos, etc. Am I wasting my time going from a computer with 8 RAm to 32 as I just want to see significant increase on speed like when I do an antivirus scan, registry scan, open apps, etc? The notebook is also lighweight as well/

Kind of silly to buy a whole new computer for a RAM upgrade, unless it's like 15 years old.

SSD would give you much more if you're still using a mechanical hard drive.

Probably not much of a benefit then unless you're frequently at 85%+ utilization such as in task manager.

Would be significantly less expensive to just upgrade your existing system to 16g (~$25ish) if it runs alright otherwise or meets your performance expectations on baseline such as from a fresh boot.

What model is it?
