i just wanted to show everyone how completely horrible my current computer is, btw those temps are like that with just skype and my browser open, it seems kind of hot lol.

EDIT his was bought only one year ago and cost 700 dollars
 
That is too hot, you most likely need to reapply thermal paste. Also make sure the heatsink is attached to processor securely. Is the case full of dust? Is it warm in the room its in?

oh yeah its got to be like 30C in my room right now lol and idk if its full of dust i have never opened it up, like since i bought it i havent even looked in it lol
 
I dont think its a horrible system at all,What do you do mainly with the pc?

But yeah i would not like my idle temps to be 55c,id re-apply the Thermal paste with some AS5 or something similar....also maybe adding a couple of extra fans if possibe to increase airflow...what case do you have? :)
 
its actually not that bad, hp usually only has 2 fans in their cases one on the cpu and one out the back of the case, not including the psu fan. u can always look into a better cpu cooler or adding a fan or 2 for more airflow.

only thing i can see that would make your computer run like crap is the speed of your ram. thats low for ddr3
 
If you think that's bad you should see the computer in my sig. It's an absolute dinosaur. I'm surprised it's still chugging along.

idk what case it is i didnt build it its just a HP from the store, i took it home and plugged it in a year ago, and its been sitting there on for the last year lol i havent turned it off yet :P or opened it, and for gaming i get like 2 or 3 second per frame for new games lmao

Ah HP cases :P..i take it you got virtually no front airflow comming in or the sidepanel then :P

Reason you only get 2-3 fps in new games is because you dont have a dedicated graphics card.

no i dont get 2-3 fps, i get 2-3 spf lmao it lieterally freezes for 2 seconds then goes to the next frame and does it again, and thats on shogun 2 with all lowest settings in everything
