Format a networked PC for Home Use

Hi,

I purchased a computer from a friend which was used on a network. I want to reinstall windows but I cant access the BIOS etc. Any suggestions on how to format the HDD. I should know how to but my brain doesnt want to work today.

Sounds like you'll need a new dvd drive. You'll need to get the bios password from whoever you got it from.

Ok, I managed to format the disk via USB with windows 8 on it. I don't really know how I got past the bios to make it boot to USB but I've managed to get it sorted. Thanks for your advice tho.
