Formatting C ???

How can I take my 40G D drive, and make it my primary drive, the C is only 6G. I am computer illerate, so bear with me.

Can this be done without having to format the C drive?

Will include specs after I get the thing opened up tomorrow.

just ghost the drive to the 40gb. then change their cables if you decide not to have the c again.

As kof said, use Norton Ghost to copy the 6GB Pri to some cd's, then copy those to the 40GB, then reset the jumpers and you should be good to go.

can you just do that without norton ghost??

i mean just copy all the the 40gig drive without the use of cds?

most likely not, since some folders/files are hidden and you cant get to them, and alot of system folders prevent you from copying them. Unless you use linux.

well i think it would be worth a try. it would save a few bucks if it worked.
