Foxconn mobo PCIe x16 @ x8 speed?

AGP X1-X8 is the bandwidth of the slot, there were 3.3 - 1.8 and .8 voltage AGP cards and they were sloted so you could not install it in the wrong slot. If you had a X8 AGP card that was sloted to run in either X4 or X8 it would be backward compatible so it might run alittle hotter because of the voltage but has nothing in common with PCIe. As far as PCIe X1-X4-X8 and X16 is how many PCIe lanes the slot has to work with.

I had (still have it) a motherboard, which supports to maximum AGP4x and every AGP card can fit in it, x1-x8. Don't explain this to me ;) If you are just judging from what you have read from the Internet, then don't. Because it's rubbish.

I,ve been building computer since ISA video cards so I,m not going by 1 video card and 1 motherboard, the link was for you! Theres 6 kinds of AGP cards, 1X, 1X-2X, 4X, 4x-8X, 8X and AGP pro. Theres 4 kinds of AGP slots, 1X-2X with the notch in the front, universal slot which is really a 4X slot with no notch, 4X-8X slot with the notch in the back and theres a AGP pro slot. They even make 4X-8X AGP cards will the notch in the front and back but it wont run on a 1X-2X slot because the card cant run in 2X mode! So no not all AGP cards will fit all AGP ports. Just like this 8X card

Will not fit a 1X-2X slot with the notch at the front

That was the problem with 4x-8x video cards that had a notch in the front and back, that it could be put in a 1X 2X slot. the card was 1.8 volt and the 1x 2x slot was 3.3 volt and would burn up the card!
