    Hi,
I have foxing (oranges blotches) on one of my framed pictures that I would like to remove. I have scanned it to my computer, using a Canon LIDE70, in JPEG, BMP, and TIFF. Is there a better way of removing these blotches, other than just cloning out the bad parts.
    Thanks,
    ..... john

A picture is worth a thousand words. Upload your image (in good resolution) and let us try our hand on it.

And what kind of editing tool you use?

Rachel and Jason resize.JPG Hi ssal,
Here's the jpg. I also have it on bmp and tif, but they're 80mbs.
I haven't tried any editing tools yet. The only way I know of removing these blotches would
be cloning them out, but that's very laborious and time consuming. I would probably use either
Helicon Filter or Photofiltre. If you know of a better way, please let me know.
    Thanks,

If you have Photoshop, there is a spot healing tool that you can use to correct that.
Otherwise, a very careful, and patient copy of paste, plus some paint brushing too.

    Hi ssal,
Yes, that was my initial thought. I was hoping there might be an easier way.
    Thanks,

Content-Aware Fill might work fine on the background area above and to the left of the boys' heads (available in Photoshop CS5 and later). Otherwise, yes you'll have to use either the Clone Stamp or the Spot Removal Tool to remove the blotches on their faces. It will take a long time and will be a bit tedious I'm afraid.

    Hi Spirit,
Yes, that's what I was afraid of. I'm also checking into ways of physically removing the blotches, which, from what I've read so far, is not going to be a walk in the park either.
Thank you both for you suggestions.
