fps question

I'm new to computer gaming. I would like to know at what fps my cpu is running.

CPU's dont run FPS and never will. FPS is a measure of video speed (i.e., frames-per-second). CPUs are benched fia "FLOPS" (floating point ops) and such. Often in revoews and such you will see them comparing CPUs via FPS and that has generally become a decent indicator of performance. To do those comparisons, find a benchmark you trust and run it A lot of people like 3DMark
