Hi everyone, different people are telling me my framerates should be larger... I usa AA but when I turn Anti Aliasing off, my framerates dont get better

I get about 60 FPS

hes telling me I should get at least 150... any ideas why?

THe only thing I can think of is I run Windows 7, but my framerates are not much better in xp

thanks guys

Matt

Honestly, 60fps is perfectly fine. However, you 'can' get more. You will need to uncheck the 'v-sync' option. It is currently locking your FPS with your monitors refresh rate of 60hz. Turn off this option and it should sky-rocket. I also recommend turning off the buffer for more fps, but thats just me...

:).

hey guys thanks for the responses, I know.. I just want to make sure something not wrong with the card

I personally don't play the game, so I can't really vouch for how the framerate should be on it. But that's a good card man. Don't fret about it.

Plus, by running it at lower FPS, you're lowering the stress on the card, thus lowering temps, and extending its life. :D

Do you notice stutter in the game? If not, don't worry about a numbers game with the framerate.

I have the same card, and I don't know what I'm running. Maybe I'll check tonight.

It's because VSYNC is enabled by default, most monitors (especially LCD's), have a 60Hz refresh rate, hence the 60FPS. Turn it off and the FPS will get much higher, although 60 is plenty.

I turned vsync off, and I get about 200ish average. It might jump down a little when lots happens or skyrocket when it's calm like you would expect.
