Frames per second

Hello guys,

I got a new latop since last saturday. The first day my son had around 800 fps with some drops to 500 sometimes. Now already 2 days he has 100-200 max and it drops even to 30 most of the times. I didnt make a backup of the begin situation but maybe I changed somethings. Anybody got a idea what I can do? My son hates this laptop and he bought it specially for gaming.
 
If the graphics card can't cope with the speed required then you'll either have to see if you can have the card changed for one with higher specs or buy a laptop that's especially for gaming and they are expensive.

This one is a gaming laptop around 1500 euros. specs:
Intel Core i7-4700MQ 2,4Ghz (qaud-core) Turbo-boost: 3,5 Ghz
Ram: 16GB 1600mhz
Hard disk 1: 140GB SSD samsung evo 840
Hard disk 2: 750GB
Graphic card 1: AMD HD8970M 4GB DDR5 1000mhz
Graphic card 2: Intel HD Graphics 460

Have you made sure that Minecraft is using the graphics chip and not the integrated graphics?

You can typically right click and "start with _____" graphics.

I think I do but where would i need to right click? on minecraft it self?
