Hey guys! i know this is a irellevant thread, but i couldn't find a more suiting topic. i apologize if some words aren't spelled right. so i recenently downloaded assassins creed black flag, and i noticed i had to have on the lowest graphic setting at still suffer from some lag. according to my specs the pc should handle it at atleast medium. but when i looked at some stuff i recorded, the fps NEVER sunk below 60fps. stable 60 fps. i have never seen before that the fps on the rocorded videos are higher than ingame fps.

I appreciate all serious answers, thanks.

Post your full specs please.

FRAPS can lock the framerate so that the end result will be what the FPS was locked to. It's tougher on your hardware, but the end result is nice (and good for editing). I have little trouble recording straight 60fps and even 120fps on most titles

OK i will do. i just have to get home from school. my specs aren't the best (not nearly as good as yours). my desktop is a little outdated but i have invested a little bit in a new video card. but still my friend plays on a older pc than me and he has everything on ultra:eek:

FRAPS is still recording at the FPS you're playing the game at. But when it makes it in to a video, the video is at 60fps, constantly. Just there maybe 1 frame of the game spread across 2 frames of the video.

If you were to upload it to Youtube then the video would read as 30 fps if you have FRAPS monitoring videos as well. You're not performing better with FRAPS, it just renders the video at 60fps.
