Fraps!?

Im having alot of problems with fraps. My rig is really high end, msi z68 i5 2500k gtx580. My main drive is a 500gb 7200 seagate, and i record to a 80 gb 7200 raptor (i know its small but with the hdd prices right now i have to use it). I want to record SWTOR at 1080p, so i set it at 30fps full size (my monitor is 1080p) and started playing. When i start recording in huttball my fps goes down to like 20.......... and then i watch the video and its like 1 frame per second!? What am i doing wrong?

what are you watching it in? I know if you put a fraps in movie maker it looks like a slide show then when you actually make th emovie it looks normal.

The drop in fps is fraps. It guzzles fps. What was the fps without using fraps?
