Free antivirus

what is the best free antivirus and best free anti spyware?:confused:
i think ad-aware Avast! and malwarebytes

antivirus - i like avast... heard great things about AVG as well but i don't think i will ever use anything but avast

spyware - ad aware

misc - ccleaner
 
i have avast, avira and avg all on the same laptop
in that order they seem good.
avg is good after the fact, ie, scanning
avast seems to pick up straight away
spybot and superantispyware are good
and malware anti malware
and comodo firewall
 
i use avira personal with comodo firewall+anti virus.
Avira is very good alone, but it complements any other anti virus as well without any conflict.
 
for anti virus: Avast! It picks up threats BEFORE they come in, so it is an anti-virus/firewall all in one but still only the tiny size of an anti-virus alone. Also, i'm about 99% sure that it's databse is larger than AVG's

for spyware: spybot S&D and adaware SE personal. whichever one won't pick up, the other will so they can take any spyware, adware, malware, what ever out no matter what it is.
 
Just stick with Avast!. I did enough pain-staking research and ended up with Avast! Good for you!

Does it require that many antiviruses like come on. I only use one, AVG it works great
