Free avast! 4 Home Edition

Quick question for you. Is the release in the title the one that everyones using here?

I use AVG. I don't like Avast!'s interface and I find it to be somewhat slow (not that AVG is fast).
 
Well, I use AVG at the moment, but after reading that everyone else here is using Avast rather than AVG, that they recommend Avast over AVG and that Avast has come ahead of AVG on nearly every test carried out on them (such as detection etc) I've decided to move back to Avast. I'm not particularly bothered about how slow or fast my AV is (it's not like my rig can't handle a slightly heavy program), just as long as it protects me good.
 
I did actually mean this post for those that are using Avast lol :D. Maybe I should have made that clearer.
 
Ok cheers, got it installed and registered now :). Is there much of a difference from the free home edition to the pay for edition?
 
Do you reckon the means of paying for it is just for corporate use and multiple licensing etc? So far Avast actually seems to run really nice on my machine, no speed or lagging difference to that of AVG.
 
I have Avast Home on my notebook and it works just fine. I have the free version, which suits my uses fine and I have read that Pro offers more comprehensive protection.
 
I use Avast Home and ive been using it for 2 years. no viruses in qurantine. Its a good virus protection but slow. who cares its free and it help your PC.
