Free bandwith monitoring software?

Does anybody know of a free program I can use to see how much crap I download and upload in a month? I've looked around but haven't found any freebies and I'm certainly not paying $25 for curiosity.

I had a version of "Net limiter" not long ago which recorded how much you downloaded on a hourly, daily, weekly, monthly basis it also had some other very nice features i'd suggest giving it a go.

I've always used NetMeter. It's quite configurable, small and you can play with the source code should you wish.

I don't mean to hijack this Thread but I have the same question. Once the software is installed does it check upload/downloads done on that computer or does it monitor the upload/download for the network to which it is connected?

Net limiter the version i used (the free version) only monitored your single personal computer's downloading/uploading and not the network. The paid version may monitor the entire network.

I have to get version 3 because version 2 won't support windows 7.
