hello i have a big problem, i cant use a lot of parts on my computer because it says all the time some dll file is missing, do you know about some programs that can fix this for free? thanks lot!!!!

CCleaner is mainly used for removing accumilated and now useless files off of the hard drive. One free registry cleaner called RegCleaner is available for all versions of Windows from 9X upto XP at http://www.majorgeeks.com/RegCleaner_d460.html

There are a pair of other tips to add here. One is to see if something that loads along with Windows is missing a driver or two. The msconfig utility is used to disable the list of programs that auto start with Windows. Simply type msconfig at the Run prompt and press enter to run that. Once the screen comes up go to the last tab on the right for the startup group. Simply uncheck the items you know are not needed at startup time except video and sound softwares.

If you have a Windows installation disk onhand you can use the system file checker to have the utility there verify the integrity of the main system files and repair or replace any found damaged or missing. Simply type "sfc /scannow" at the Run prompt to start that running. It usually takes severla minutes to complete.
