Free shooters/Non RPG type games

I used to play the original Delta Force and Delta Force 2. Also another one of my favorites was TRIBES (The first one). I'm looking for similar online gaming experiences. Those games still have active users, but I want something new to learn and master. Just wondering if anyone knows of something that looks good but is free. I already play WoW with my girlfriend, so I don't really want to get involved with another MMORPG because I'm already burned out on that scene.
 
Loved DF2! One game you might like is LoL - League of Leagues... PvP type game, but you have to 'build' your chars as far as skills/gear/talents, etc... and it's FREE!
 
:/ Do you mean league of legends? I don't know what game you're talking about. Get me a link I've looked it up on google but I only find stuff about sports. I really don't know. Tell me!
 
lol it was such an interesting looking game that I downloaded it before I was sure. I'm hoping to get into it today.

If you ever played DotA on WC3, you have played LoL. The only difference is there is alot lot more in LoL than there was in DotA

They have. America's Army 3 is a great game, free and just generally fun.
I recommend it greatly.
