There are some dodgy websites around. I bet you have visited websites that you were not supposed to
. Anyway, to the point. I bet you are using IE6 and have ActiveX controls on. This seems like an exploit. That could be what causes these freezes. Try using Mozilla as an alternative to access these websites.
