Freezes then No signal?!?!

My computer has been acting really wierd lately. A few times it would just freeze, I'd get a "No Signal" message on my monitor, then its just black. I can still tell my comp is running becuase my G15 keyboard's LCD is still working and still showing date/time and CPU and RAM usage....

Also when i try to play a game like CSS it would do the same, but just yesterday i was playing them perfectly fine. It only started to loose signal last night.

What could be going wrong?!?!?

It sounds like something like the cpu is getting nice and warm there. You may want to start checking system and cpu temps more frequently. Do you have anything besides the hardware monitor in the bios to check them with?

i have speed fan and my CPU rarely gets above 45C, i replaced the stock HS/F to a Zalman 9500. i also get ~33C on idle

Well that rules out the cpu as the item overheating. I run the same Zalman model on the 3500+ here and see about the same when idling. How's the board's temp? Probably down too. It sounds like a driver glitch more then anything else. You can try using the defrag tool in system tools to analyze the amount of fragmentation the drive has as well as reduce the amount of things loading along with Windows with the msconfig utility.

Have you ever used a registry cleaner? After a lengthy period of time and having added and removed a number of softwares the system registry will see a number of loose values in there that tend to try and load drivers and other things no longer installed on the system. One freeware that's been a good tool here is RegCleaner free to download from http://www.majorgeeks.com/RegCleaner_d460.html
