Freuqueny is out of range

Today I downloaded a game called Mad Max Doom.. it's a re-make of doom in mad max way.. never played it.

So when I tried to start it, it mentioned something about OpenGL, then the monitor gave me black screen + ATTENTION box, FREQUENCY IS OUT OF RANGE, and I had to restart, a restart didn't help, on logon it happend again.

It took me 2 hours of getting in to safe mode and figure out what to do to make it work.

Finally I turned off the video card driver in device manager and disabled it.
After that I could start windows normally.

The problem is when ever I enable the driver and restart windows (needed) it happens again. How to change the frequency or something??

What video card and what operating system do you have?

Whipe all existing drivers and do a re-install. Perhaps try different drivers. If you have an ATI card, 4000 series, I've heard a lot of issues with the new 10.7 driver. The 10.7 was put out mostly for 5000 series cards, and the 4k's are having lots of issues. So dowload the 10.6 drivers and reinstall that.

If you have a Nvidia card, just try whiping the drivers with Driver Sweeper, and then re-install. You can download the latest from Nvidia.com.

If non of that works, your video card is mostl likely shot.

I have Nvidia, I will try what you have told me.

I'll get back to you when I finish.
 
I have fixed that, thanks dude.

ANOTHER PROBLEM: My computer suddenly started to fail at writing and accessing files in C:USERS:MYPROFILE:
When I try to do anything connected to that file it doesn't work.
Example with firefox:

Also mIRC had a problem, but I fixed it with running as a administrator...

PLEASE HELP


EDIT: I also cannot seem to open files located in C:USERS:MYPROFILE: DOWNLOADS.... ITS ALL DOOMED :(
